FAQ: How is AI impacting digital product development?

59% of designers and developers are already using AI in their work. Many are using it for user research, for generating images and text, or to fast track brainstorming and idea generation.

We’re still in the formulative stages of AI’s impact on product development. Less than half of designers and developers who are using AI have actually launched anything.

There’s a long way to go. Only one-third of respondents who report shipping an AI feature are proud of it.

Only 2% of executives say AI has had no impact on their work, and 37% say it’s already created “significant” to “transformational” impact over the last 12 months.

Only 7% of respondents said AI has "significantly impacted collaboration", while 3X as many said it "significantly changed their individual workflows".

Many teams are struggling with unpredictable AI models and outputs, data privacy and security concerns, and coherently blending new features.
