About Markazi Text
Markazi Text, designed by Borna Izadpanah, Florian Runge, and Fiona Ross, debuted through a collaboration between the University of Reading and Google. Inspired by Tim Holloway’s award-winning design, it features moderate contrast in Arabic glyphs, crafted by Izadpanah, and a harmonious Latin counterpart by Runge. It’s versatile, with four weights supporting scripts like Arabic, Latin, and Vietnamese.
