Alkatra, designed by Suman Bhandary, is an expressive, handwritten display typeface drawing inspiration from Bengal's graffiti, created with sticks and tar. The font features blobby, bold forms and supports Bengali, Devanagari, Latin, and Oriya scripts. Its design, led by Bhandary and assisted by Nehal Mathews and Lopamudra Bose, channels vibrant cultural influences.
