About Abhaya Libre
Abhaya Libre, designed by Mooniak and Sol Matas and funded by Google Fonts in 2015, is a modern reimagining of the FM Abhaya typeface from 1996. This serif font combines Sinhala, Pali, and Latin script support with five weights and large counters for clear on-screen reading. Its design nods to Didone typefaces with an elegant contrast of strokes.
